Konami Digital Entertainment Limited announced that the “Olympic Virtual Series (OVS)” baseball finals will be broadcast live to the world on International Olympic Day on June 23.

“Olympic Virtual Series” is the first virtual sports conference hosted by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and 5 international athletic leagues. The baseball event is hosted by the World Baseball and Softball Association (WBSC) and IOC, and uses Konami Digital Entertainment Limited’s “eBASEBALL パワフルプロ野球 2020” specially designed for the Olympic virtual series for competition. The 11 players from the Baseball Tournament and the 8 players from the Home Run Derby (Home Run Derby) who won the online qualifying tournament will compete fiercely in the finals.

The live event of the finals will be broadcast in Japanese and English on the IOC’s official Olympic video channel (olympics.com). Former Japanese professional baseball players and anchors who are active in the live broadcast of real baseball games serve as live commentators, and the live broadcast of the fierce battle for the first Olympic virtual series championship in history is transmitted to the world.
