Summer is about to end and video games are back to grind new things. September is characterized by the Director’s Cut of Death Stranding and the Echoes of The Eye expansion of the enigmatic space game Outer Wilds, but above all by small and big adventures that will take us around the world, from Japan to America, looking for solutions to metaphysical mysteries or more simply a new way of living life.
Lake – PC and Xbox, already available

Lake will put you right at the same crossroads: Will Meredith stay or will she rush back to her old life?

WarioWare: Get it Togheter – Switch, dal 10 settembre
Clean your teeth by shaking your toothbrush! Rock the baby by shooting at his cot! Empty the tank by pulling the cord of the cap! Get the toothpaste out by hitting the tube! Make the acrobat fall and destabilize him! Draw your sword! Take out the trash! Put your finger in your nose! This is WarioWare, a collection of over 200 mini-games lasting just a few seconds; always fun when used alone, but absolutely hilarious when played in a group. In this latest version, the first on Nintendo Switch, we will find a classic mode, one for two players and a last one in which up to four people can take part at the same time. If you were looking for a party game worthy of the name, even if it probably won’t live up to past chapters, you have found it!
Life is Strange: True Color – Pc, Xbox, Ps e Switch, dal 10 settembre
After the incredible success of Life is Strange and the less impactful Life is Strange 2, the French of Dontnod try again with True Color. The setting changes and the protagonist changes, but the main features of the series have remained firmly in place. This is not necessarily a bad thing, far from it, after all the series is one of the few, if not the only one, to be designed specifically for a female audience, with great attention paid to inclusiveness in all its forms. In True Colors we will be Alex Chen, an American teenager of Asian origin who will have to shed light on the mysterious death of her brother Gabe. To help her, a supernatural power that will allow her to change the emotions of her interlocutors. The potential for a good following is all there, but the will to carry all the thematic shortcomings of the video game industry on one’s shoulders can generate a jumble of hardly digestible clichés.
Deathloop – PC and PlayStation 5, from 14 September
In this new Arkane Studios game, the same creator of the two amazing but unlucky Dishonored relies on a time loop to allow us to kill eight different targets before midnight. Failure is not a problem, but an integral part of the rules of the game: every time we die, or time runs out, as in the classic Groundhog Day with Bill Murray everything will start all over again, but only the protagonist will remember what happened the previous day. The different attempts will lead us to accumulate experience until we are able to carry out the task perfectly. The Arkane game arrives exclusively on PlayStation 5, as well as on PC, after the software house was bought in bulk, together with Bethesda and id Software, by Microsoft. Despite this, due to a partnership prior to the purchase by the Redmond giant, Xbox owners will have to wait several months, if not even a year, before getting their hands on an actually very interesting product.
