The redevelopment process of the Frosinone sports hall has officially begun. The agreement underlines the strong commitment of the parties involved in promoting the development of sport and the well-being of the local community through the reactivation of a historic structure.
The Lazio Region, precisely to allow the relaunch, has undertaken to finance the functional redevelopment of the facility owned by Sport e Salute SpA, with a contribution of 500.000 euroon a total cost of the intervention estimated at 543.355 euro.

Sport e Salute SpA has undertaken the commitment to complete the project activities and carry out the functional redevelopment works of the gym, using the financial resources provided by the Lazio Region and making available the remaining sums necessary for the completion of the intervention, equal to 43.355 euro.

“I am very satisfied with the memorandum of understanding that we signed today. Finally, after more than 5 years in which it had remained closed, the Sports Hall will be returned to the community of Frosinone. The Lazio Region has allocated 500,000 thousand euros for the renovation and the modernizations that will make the capital’s facility cutting-edge and fully compliant with current legislative standards. I thank the President, the CEO of Sport and Health and the Mayor of Frosinone for the great institutional synergy that made this result possible. sport is a formidable tool for social inclusion, especially for the younger generations of our territories who we will never leave behind” highlighted the president of the Lazio Region Francesco Rocca.

“The objective is to rethink unused or degraded urban spaces and transform them into spaces capable of offering growth opportunities for neighborhoods and communities. Because space is a social educator. It teaches respect, sharing, encourages meetings and fights social exclusion. And the two directions to follow are Sport and Culture. Popular and accessible outdoor sport as a tool for spreading healthy lifestyles and caring for the physical, psychological and personal well-being of the individual. Culture , art and creativity as founding elements of the communities and the territory. Today’s protocol clearly represents the “teamwork” necessary to be able to intervene in a concrete manner on the systems: in fact, it is necessary that all the institutional actors, starting from by local authorities, are protagonists. In summary: inclusion, involvement and well-being are the three guidelines to follow through beauty and fun” said the CEO of Sport and Health Diego Nepi Molineris.

The sports facility, once renovated, will be granted to the Municipality of Frosinone for a period of twenty years, at a rental fee to be defined.

“The sports hall constitutes a fundamental work for the community, which will be able to once again take advantage of a modern and functional centre, dedicated to sporting activities, socialisation, aggregation. The objective was to find a definitive solution that could allow the reopening of the structure. Today, with the signing of the protocol with the Lazio Region and Sport and Health spa, thanks to the path previously traced by the administration of the mayor Nicola Ottaviani and the commitment made by the councilor delegated for sport Francesco Pallone in collaboration with Angelo Retrosi’s public works department, a new chapter opens for the sports facility, which will be returned to the city to enhance and promote sporting activity, especially among the youngest” declared the mayor of Frosinone Riccardo Mastrangeli.
