YouTube, born in 2005, is the longest-running social media, perhaps because it has been able to reinvent TV by sensing the propensity of people to enjoy video content and produce it. Its contents, both amateur and professional, attract over 2 billion people worldwide and 35.5 million in Italy.
The content creators here are called youtuber and have the ability to produce short or long videos on the most diverse topics, from entertainment to thematic in-depth analysis, passing through tutorials and reviews.
According to Buzzoole Discovery, the ranking of the top 10 Italians with the highest number of subscribers is not populated by well-known faces, as is the case for other social networks, but by influencers who have been able to make the most of this creative platform.
10. theShow. Founded in 2013 by Alessio Stigliano and Alessandro Tenace, theShow is a YouTube channel that imported jokes and candid cameras to Italy, in the wake of the American experience. Today it has more than 3.75 million members.
9. Daniele Vitale Sax. Daniele is a musician who uses YouTube to share covers of hit songs he makes on the streets of Italy, playing the saxophone. His channel has 3.77 million subscribers.
8. AmeliTVIT. A TV with 4.01 million subscribers that tells the story of a very particular family: that of mother Malvina and father Paolo who tell the activities carried out together with their little Amelia and little Matteo.
7. Lyon. Ettore Canu, aka Lyon, has a YouTube channel with over 4.27 million subscribers, mostly focused on Minecraft, the game that allows you to build imaginary worlds using digital bricks. The number of its subscribers grew by 6.2% compared to the June ranking.
6. St3pNy. Stefano Lepri is part of the group of Mates, great video game fans. The 4.36 million subscribers to his YouTube channel follow him in his performances in the worlds of Minecraft and Fortnite.
5. Andrea Bocelli. The best known living Italian tenor in the world has over 4.91 million subscribers on YouTube, where his fans can hear his best performances. His channel recorded the growth rate of subscriber highest in the ranking: + 6.5% compared to the last survey.
4. iPantellas. The channel created by Jacopo Malnati and Daniel Marangiolo has 5.49 million subscribers. The two were among the first Italian youtubers to make funny parody-themed sketches and, over the years, they have always managed to stay on the crest of the wave.
3. Me Against You. The two youtubers Luì and Sofì are very popular among the very young and have achieved extraordinary success, so much so that they also end up in the cinema with two blockbuster films. Their channel has over 6.04 million subscribers, 3.4% more than the previous ranking.
2. FavijTv. Lorenzo Ostuni is one of the first historical youtubers in Italy. On his channel he always likes to review new video games. its 6.23 million subscribers, however, particularly love his comments and his “reactions” to other people’s videos. FavijTv recorded 1.5% more subscriptions to the channel compared to the previous survey.
1. Davie504. Over 9.88 million people follow Davide Biale’s channel dedicated to electric bass and his cover songs. His impassive expression and his videos bordering on nonsense have become a viral phenomenon. On average, his videos get 2.1 million views and the number of subscriber of its channel grew by 5.3% compared to the previous ranking.
