Eleven graduates of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra have achieved impressive results in the recent Resident Internal Physician (MIR) exam, with several students securing a place among the top 100 positions. María Álvarez Nájera, a native of Pontevedra, claimed the 10th position, while Adrian Alfonso Alvarez, also from Pontevedra, secured the 12th spot. Other notable achievers include Anna Margarit Colomer of Barcelona at number 40, and Nerea Aldabe Gonzalez from Pamplona at 42.
In total, 98.3% of the graduates who took the exam from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra secured one of the 8,772 places offered by the Ministry, with 41% achieving placement among the top 2,000.
María Álvarez attributes her success to the exceptional training and support she received at the Faculty. She also credits her family for their unwavering support. Looking ahead, María is considering specialties such as Cardiology, Anesthesia, and Endocrinology, with a preference for practicing in Madrid.
