Another method to reduce stress and improve overall well-being is the Wim Hof method, developed by Dutch extreme athlete Wim Hof, also known as Iceman. This technique combines cold therapy with breathing and concentration exercises. It is believed that the Wim Hof method can increase sports performance, help individuals connect with their bodies, strengthen the immune system, and reduce stress.

The three keys to the Wim Hof method include cold exposure, controlled breathing, and gradual acclimation to the cold. Cold exposure can help manage different types of body fat, improve blood oxygenation, and increase the body’s performance. Controlled breathing is essential to withstand the cold and requires patience, control, and determination. Gradual cold exposure, starting with a few minutes of a cold shower and progressing to outdoor ice baths or winter walks with light clothing, can help acclimate the body to the cold.
