Aou Sassari: a week of free specialist visits for women

This year, the Aou of Sassari is participating in the National Health Day with a special initiative aimed at women’s health. From April 18 to April 22, the hospital will be hosting a week of free specialist visits for women as part of the Open Week organized by the Onda Foundation.

The services offered during this week will focus on promoting information, prevention, and treatment from a gender perspective. Specialist areas such as dietetics and nutrition, endocrinology and metabolic diseases, gynecology and obstetrics, gynecological oncology, breast medicine, and psychiatry will be covered during the event. Additionally, there will be courses dedicated to violence against women.

Scheduled Visits

On April 18, specific endocrinological visits for obesity will be offered from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. The obesity clinic, led by Dr. Francesco Tolu, will conduct anthropometric measurements, blood chemistry tests, metabolic tests, and nutritional history. Psychiatric and psychological consultations will also be available on April 18 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. To book an appointment, individuals can call 0792644640 or email [email protected].

On April 19, oncogynecological consultations will be conducted from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the obstetrics and gynecological clinic directed by Professor Giampiero Capobianco. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 0792644261 or emailing [email protected].

Finally, on April 22, the Breast Unit surgeons will be offering breast visits from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Patients can book their appointments by calling 800559988 or emailing [email protected]. The clinics are located at the “Stecca Bianca” Front Staircase E – Ground floor, Viale San Pietro, 43 Sassari.
