In its search for the optimal adhesive for producing the soil moisture sensor “Gardena Smart Sensor 19040” (Gardena company found the adhesive expert RUDERER). The sensor represents the heart of the Gardena Smart System. It is based on the latest technology and enables fully automatic, professional and intelligently handled plant and garden care. The Gardena Smart Sensor measures both the temperature and the soil moisture in the root area of plants and sends the measurement results to an app. By intelligently linking weather forecasts and schedules, users can provide their plants with the exact amount of water Ideally, up to 70 percent of the water can be saved. The fast-curing 2-component MMA adhesive technicoll 9411 achieved the best results in the tests. Above all, it scored points with its rapid curing, high adhesive strength and very good resistance to water, aging, media and temperature. Due to its flexible properties, technicoll 9411 withstood all dynamic loads and was absolutely resistant to UV radiation, heat, cold, moisture and moisture. The high viscosity of this flexible and stress-balancing high-performance adhesive also enables efficient and precise adhesive application without unwanted runoff.
