The first World Children’s Day “Behold, I make all things new”, desired by Pope Francis and organized by the Dicastery for Culture and Education, was presented this afternoon in the press room of the Olympic Stadium in Rome. The international meeting will be held on May 25th and 26th over two days. The first right at the Olympic Stadium and will see the participation of the Holy Father and children from all over the world, the second in the Vatican. Speakers during the conference included, among others, Father Enzo Fortunato, coordinator of World Children’s Day, Marco Impagliazzo, president of the Community of Sant’Egidio, Aldo Cagnoli, deputy coordinator of World Children’s Day, Stella Cervogni, head of foreign delegations of the GMB , Marco Mezzaroma, president of Sport and Health, and Gianluigi Buffon, head of the National Football Team delegation. Diego Nepi Molineris, CEO of Sport and Health, was also present.
The GMB anthem “The novelty of the world“, written by Don Marco Frisina, was then revealed and will be sung by over a thousand children of the Piccolo Coro dell’Antoniano and the Cori della Galassia dell’Antoniano directed by Sabrina Simoni. Various personalities from the world of entertainment will participate in the inaugural event at the Olympic Stadium, such as Carlo Conti, Gianni Morandi, Lino Banfi, Mr. Rain and Beret.
