How are things when it comes to zero-sugar drinks? How convenient to use it and how much truth is there in this statement.
Zero sugars, how are things really? In reality, and it is good to specify it right away, even when this wording stands out in clearly visible characters on a can or bottle of this or that drink (or even on other types of product) it does not correspond to the full truth.
Many prefer these “zero sugar” products, convinced of their lower calorie content and of the fact that they are not so bad for the figure and health in general. However, the responses that can be directly extrapolated from laboratory analyzes arrive to reveal the altars.
Focusing in particular on drinks, we see how in fact the drinks with zero sugars do not show any percentage of sucrose. However, there are some sweeteners, whose task is to give a pleasant and obviously sweet taste to the drink or energy drink in question. The most used are:
- stevia;
- aspartame;
- saccharin;
- Acesulfame-K (E950);
- Sucralosio (E959);
Zero sugars, it’s almost true: there are collateral aspects to health
There are some eminent exponents of the Italian and international medical and scientific community, such as Dr. Franco Berrino, who condemn the use of these sweeteners. In what they do not consider them good for health.
Especially in the case of intakes in quantities that exceed a correct exposure. The consequences, in these cases, can lead to imbalances and alterations of the metabolism.
