The governor of Meta, Rafaela Cortés Zambrano, led an important effort before the Ministry of Transportation, in search of solutions to the situation on the road to Llano.
The president was accompanied by the governors of Casanare, Cesar Zorro, Cundinamarca, Jorge Emilio Rey, the mayor of Villavicencio, Alexander Baquero, the representative to the Chamber, Juan Diego Muñoz and the vice minister of Infrastructure, María Constancia García, delegate from the head of the portfolio, William Camargo.
As a first measure, “a management team will be created in Invias that will be directly in charge of all the problems on the Bogotá – Villavicencio highway. There will no longer be a toss-up between the concessionaires and the National Government,” declared the governor, adding that every time a problem arises, it is not known who should attend to it.
Likewise, regarding the situation in the Naranjal sector, another military bridge will be installed for bidirectional passage and progress will be made in the studies and designs for the construction of the bridge that was carried away by the avalanche.
Another very important achievement is the commitment on the part of the entity to intervene in tunnel 13, a structure necessary to enable the Chirajara bridge, which, according to information from the concessionaire Coviandina SAS, is now ready.
The Ministry will begin the intervention with stabilization works at kilometer 58 for which it will allocate resources for $68 billion, while managing resources for nearly $383 billion for the attention of another 14 critical points, for a total of 16, which in words of Vice Minister García are the most urgent.
Finally, every two months, follow-up meetings will be held to verify compliance with all commitments, both those assumed last Saturday and those acquired today.
