In response to the emergency situation due to water shortage in various rural areas, the Disaster Risk Management Directorate of the Departmental Administration has maintained the contingency plan in force since January, with which the vital liquid has been supplied. to more than 23 villages in the municipalities of Hato Corozal, Paz de Ariporo, Nunchía, Támara and Yopal.
Through the use of tank trucks, water is being delivered to mitigate the shortage that affects approximately one thousand families in vulnerable situations.
The discrimination of communities, which have reported shortages during this time of drought, in which the precious liquid has been provided, relates as follows:
Yopal: Villa del Carmen, Patimena, Araguaney and The Reserve. In Paz de Ariporo the populated center of Caño Chiquito. Tamara: The Plank, Green Cross, The Victory. Nunchi: Reeds, Redemption, Macuco, Rosemary, Shell, Tacare and Brotherhood. High Corozal: Red House, St. Raphael, The Maraure, The Chapel, The Mercedes, Altagracia, Camellias and We Will See It.
This action is part of Governor César Ortiz Zorro’s ongoing commitment to guarantee access to basic services and improve the quality of life of rural communities.
