In corso Vercelli, it dates back to Roman times: discovered during excavations to build a commercial area
IVREA
A Roman necropolis discovered during excavations for the construction of a commercial complex: this is how the archaeological area of Corso Vercelli was found, on which an item on the agenda of the municipal council on Monday 31 January will focus. The commercial project outlined up to now, in fact, will be partially modified: the Municipality and the Superintendence of Archeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the metropolitan city of Turin were aware of possible finds in the place where the excavations would have taken place, but the discovery has aroused more surprise than expected.
