José Arnaldo received a heartfelt tribute in front of his residence in the Primero de Mayo neighborhood of Valledupar, where pastors from the Christian church participated; the accordionist Dagoberto ‘El Negrito’ Osorio; his uncle Pepín Soto, family members and the singer-songwriter Wilfran Castillo, who performed the song ‘Sapos y Cigarras’.
Vallenato artists such as Jorge Celedón, Miguel Morales, César del Valle and musicians from the Vallenato guild were present at the last farewell of José Arnaldo, who died from dengue fever.

His burial took place in the Remember cemetery in Valledupar.

The talented and charismatic José Arnaldo was born in the home of José Luis Rodríguez and Lili Soto; grandson of the sound entrepreneur, Waber Soto and nephew of the musicians Pepín and Polacho Soto.
José Arnaldo inherited the musical vein from his father José Luis Rodríguez Carrillo, who was conguero of the groups of Jorge Oñate, Diomedes Díaz and currently works with Jorge Celedón.
The young man managed to have a brilliant career in the groups of Los K Morales, Farid Leonardo, Kvrass and was currently with the singer-songwriter Wilfran Castillo. He was characterized by his discipline, camaraderie and passion for the art of music.
Likewise, he took the reins of Sonidos Waber, applying his professional knowledge as a Business Administrator, organizing and projecting this family company, where he was his right-hand man.
