Therefore, in a truly liberal society, one must stand up for women’s rights more resolutely than ever, said Hayer.
On Friday, Macron called for the freedom to have an abortion to be included in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. The two French parliamentary chambers had previously voted by a large majority to enshrine the right to abortion in the country’s constitution.
