Heavy rain and snow in Hunan province have caused the railway department to suspend some high-speed trains on the Chongqing-Xiamen High-speed Railway. The decision was made in order to ensure the safety of passengers and train operations. The railway department has issued an apology for any inconvenience caused to passengers.

The railway department has reminded passengers to stay updated on the official railway announcements through Weibo, station and train broadcast notices, and electronic display information. Passengers can also check for train suspensions and delays on the railway’s 12306 APP and customer service phone to avoid inconvenience.

In the event of a train suspension, passengers can handle the full refund procedure within 30 days from the departure date of the ticket, without incurring any refund handling fees. Passengers who paid in cash and have printed a reimbursement voucher are required to present the original ID used for ticket purchase at the railway station window within 180 days from the date of refund to receive the ticket payment.

The railway department has advised passengers not to rush to the windows of major train stations for ticket refunds to avoid overcrowding at the stations.
