The Apachi association that operates in the municipal kennel has opened a fundraiser to help Aky, a beautiful dog who for some time had been a guest in the structure in the Cene hamlet. Due to worsening conditions, Aky will have to undergo a very expensive intervention (seven thousand euros plus VAT) and the association does not want to leave the family with which she now lives alone.
“Aky was a guest at the Chivasso kennel in 2020 – explain the leaders of the association – he has not found a family for a long time, he is very loved and cared for at best”. That he suffered from bilateral hip dysplasia had already been reported in the kennel, due to his abnormal gait. It was a manageable situation with some medication and with careful movements, but for some time his situation has worsened and he will have to undergo two operations in order to apply the titanium prostheses to his hips. The worsening was not expected and is probably due to the change in habits: going from the few walks and runs in the kennel’s walking area to the joy of living as a dog should be able to do and run freely when it is in the family has precipitated the situation.
«He is very young, very good and cuddly – continue the leaders of the association -, whoever knew him surely remembers him because he was a love. Apachi in all this certainly does not hold back and will help in the payment of the operation as it has always done and as it should be.
