MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR 2021: news for engine and electronics

by admin

No revolutions, but targeted improvements to sharpen the blade even more and adapt to the new Euro 5 regulations: this is how the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR was updated for 2021

No revolutions, but “surgical” improvements to make MV Agusta’s house blade even sharper. After launching the new representatives of the three-cylinder range and the, the Schiranna brand also unveils the updated version of its supernaked flagship, the Model 2021 of the Brutale 1000 RR. For those who have the courage to break through the 300 km / h wall, even without a protective hull.

ENGINE AND FRAME

Finally approved Euro 5, with the new year the naked Varese brings a series of changes that are not radical but which affect her at 360 degrees. It starts with the engine: the 998 cc four-cylinder delivers 208 HP at 13,000 rpm and almost 117 Nm of maximum torque at 11,000 rpm, but it is above all the distribution that evolves, with a new cam timing and a Dlc treatment for the cups with a view to reducing friction. The transmission, for its part, benefits from new gears for the primary, as well as an unprecedented sensor for the Eas 3.0 electronic gearbox. All set in the proven steel frame with aluminum alloy side plates, which is paired with the sculptural single-sided swingarm and 17-inch forged aluminum wheels.

ELECTRONICS AND PRICE

If, net of a few clicks, the chassis and brakes are practically unchanged (Öhlins and Brembo remain strictly in their place), the same cannot be said of the electronic package. The latter greets the arrival of a new control unit for the Abs, now a Continental MK100 that integrates the cornering function, and an updated inertial platform to keep the hot spirits of the Brutale at bay in all conditions: present, among other driving aids, also launch control, anti-wheelie and cruise control. The 5.5 ”Tft dashboard, passing to the instrumentation, is equipped with a connectivity system that works in symbiosis with the MV My Ride app. Obviously, all this technological-mechanical abundance has a cost not for everyone: the Brutale 1000 RR 2021 is available in two colors (red / black and gray / black / yellow) at the starting price of 32,300 euros.
