After his controversial departure from the Ecuador National Team, where he sued the Ecuadorian Football Federation for outstanding debts, Argentine coach Gustavo Alfaro took on the challenge of leading the Costa Rica National Team.
His arrival at the Costa Rican team has been hindered by a legal problem that prevents him from carrying out his work.
Despite having been introduced and having directed his first games in charge of the Costa Rican team, Alfaro and his coaching staff now face an unusual obstacle: the lack of a work permit in the country. The Costa Rican Immigration Directorate has notified the Costa Rican Football Federation that the coach and his team do not have the necessary documentation to carry out paid work in the Central American country. The president of the FCRF, Osael Maroto, explained to the media that the problem lies in the incomplete presentation of the required documents, without adequate follow-up by the federation. Now, Alfaro must correct this problem to regularize his employment situation.
