The long-awaited night for Alianza Fútbol Club fans has arrived. The Vallenato team will face Deportivo Cali at the Armando Maestre Pavajeau stadium starting at 8:20 at night, in a game corresponding to date 2 of the BetPlay Dimayor League and the first for a Valledupar club in the highest category of the rented national.
The vallenatos come to this match with a zero balance after losing in their debut against Atlético Nacional 3-1 in the city of Medellín, while ‘the sugar workers’ added a point as visitors after drawing 2-2 with Pereira in the Hernán Ramírez Villegas stadium.
As part of the preparation to face tonight’s game, coach César Torres spoke to the media about how they will face the game against the Cali team and the responsibility of giving the first victory to the fans of Alianza Fútbol Club.
“The match against Deportivo Cali is our first opportunity at home, so we want to be a strong team, show dynamic football, go out and propose so that the points stay here in Valledupar,” explained coach César Torres, who added: “We are going to try to make our game idea prevail over the rival, for that we have to have the ball a lot, attack, manage the game and be intense, that will be the key.”
In turn, soccer player Jesús Figueroa expressed: “We are motivated because this will be our first game in the city of Valledupar. “We are very happy to be here, we know that it is an important game, that it is the team’s first at home and we take it on with the best disposition to score the first points.”
Meanwhile, experienced central defender Pedro Franco pointed out: “It is a very important game for us, our first appearance at home, so we hope to do our best. In training, emphasis has been placed on teamwork, on starting, on possession of the ball, we hope to be very focused, give everything on the field to get a good result.”
