A photo of the British Queen Elizabeth II with her (great) grandchildren was also edited with Photoshop. The Getty photo agency confirms this. The image was taken by Princess Kate, who recently came under fire for editing a family snapshot.
Princess Kate recently came under controversy because she allegedly digitally edited a photo of herself and her children – which she said was taken by Crown Prince William. The princess apologized, and several major news agencies withdrew the image and asked the media not to use the photo anymore.
The leading photo agency Getty went further and retrospectively subjected all photos of Kensington Palace – read: William and Kate – to an investigation. This shows that a photo that Kate took of the Queen and her (great) grandchildren in August 2022 was also edited. “Getty Images has investigated the image in question and has now added a warning that it has been digitally edited by the source,” a spokesperson said.
Closer inspection of the image indeed reveals several cosmetic flaws, such as a vertical line in the Queen’s skirt, a dark shadow behind Prince Louis’ ear, a black spot on Prince George’s shirt collar, and copywork in Mia Tindall’s hair .
