The protagonist, who is more of an anti-hero, sailed through the Caribbean for the first time in the 1990s. His chosen career as a “pirate” required some lessons in insult fencing and diversionary tactics. The one from genre legend Ron Gilbert The series of games initiated has recently been expanded to include a new title called “Return to Monkey Island”, which is currently available in the App Store (29.99 euros in Mac App Store9.99 euros as an in-app purchase iOS App Store). From June 6th, this title will be part of the Apple Arcade subscription and therefore as Return to Monkey Island+ be playable on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Rabid rabbits
The Rabbids come from the Rayman franchise from game publisher Ubisoft. After initially appearing as enemy NPCs, their popularity soon gave them a whole range of party games. The excited bipeds from the rabbit family appear with the title Rabbids Multiverse as part of Apple Arcade. In this title, players assemble a squad based on action cards in order to pit them against the computer or other players in game rounds. Starting June 6th, the game will be released on Arcade and will support all Apple platforms – including Apple TV and Vision Pro.

More titles, updates in May
In addition, Apple announced two more titles for the June the 6th to: the retro platformer “Tomb of the Mask+” and the time management game “Fabulous – Wedding Disaster+”. Both are based on freemium titles of the same name, the Apple Arcade versions of which have no in-app purchases or advertising. The existing titles “Hello Kitty Island Adventure”, “WHAT THE CAR” and “Ridiculous Fishing” will also be expanded to include additional content by the end of the month.

For Vision Pro: Where Cards Fall
The 3D puzzler “Where Cards Fall” was already part of the portfolio when Apple Arcade launched a good four years ago. In the atmospheric narrative, players pave a path for the protagonists through gesture-based movement of playing cards in surrealistic landscapes and accompany them through crucial events in their lives. From May 30th, Vision Pro owners can enjoy the title.
