A tragic bus accident in Shanxi Province on March 19 has left at least 14 people dead and 37 others injured. The incident occurred in Xijiaokou Township, Xiangning County, Linfen City, when a Henan license plate bus carrying 51 people collided with the tunnel wall in the Xijiata Tunnel of the G59 Hubei Expressway.

According to the Shanxi Expressway Traffic Police, the bus, which was certified to carry 54 people, was travelling in the Northbound direction when the collision occurred at about 2:37 pm. Many passengers were trapped inside the bus following the impact.
