This morning, in a courtroom of Treviso, the case of a thirty-year-old woman who was harassed, mortified and demeaned as a woman, wife and mother of three children, until she was forced to report her husband and in-laws who had tormented her for years. A sad story that has as its protagonist a young woman from the East, who lives and works as a nurse in a health facility in the province of Treviso and now, with her children, has found refuge from domestic violence in a sheltered home for abused women. One of his many faults? Having taken a group photo with work colleagues, which was then posted on social networks. Photo of her discovered by her husband that she did not like her and, to punish her, after beating her, he raped her in front of her 16-month-old daughter.

The mistreatment consisting of physical violence, sexual abuse and stalking had been going on since 2014. For almost eight years she accepted them in silence, often crying alone, without confiding her prostration to anyone until, six months ago, at the end of December 2021, she decided to take the plunge and report her husband to the carabinieri. a Muslim worker from the East, and his in-laws.
