“2024 Happy Spring Festival in Beijing” Launches Series of Activities

The “2024 Happy Spring Festival in Beijing” themed series of activities kicked off in the Chinese capital on January 18 and will run until February 24. The event, organized by the Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, aims to showcase Beijing’s tourism, business, and sports sectors through more than 2,500 “tourism +” activities that reflect the city’s characteristics, resource advantages, and the flavor of the zodiac.

During the festival, Beijing will offer nearly 500 activities and products such as ice and snow experiences, parent-child family fun, study tours, and Beijing outings, providing diverse and high-quality holiday travel options for citizens and tourists.

The Beijing Ice and Snow Tourism Season, organized by the Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, integrates the city’s characteristic ice and snow resources with surrounding attractions, hotels, restaurants, cultural museums, and performing arts resources. The season includes a “treasure map” of ice and snow tourism guides for the 16 districts of Beijing, as well as hundreds of “Ice and Snow+” cultural tourism projects, consumption venues, and themed games. Winter Olympics venues, ice rinks, and snowfields across the city are fully open, providing ample options for ski enthusiasts and citizens.

For families and children, the city’s micro-vacation destinations, cultural tourism experience bases, and cultural and business tourism integration areas will launch more than 130 festival activities and products. The Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau will also release 25 rural tourism routes, encouraging citizens and tourists to “stay in B&Bs, play in the ice and snow, and celebrate the New Year.”

The “2024 Happy Spring Festival in Beijing” is set to be a vibrant and exciting event, celebrating the traditions and culture of the city while providing diverse and engaging experiences for both locals and visitors.
