The Ittihad Club of the Saudi Arabian League has confirmed the arrival of the French forward, former Real Madrid and Ballon d’Or winner, Karim Benzema.

The rumors that were circulating in recent days have come true, and the player will now face his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, who also plays in the Saudi league and which seems to see more stars coming.
After fourteen successful years with Real Madrid, Benzema has decided to continue his career at reigning Saudi Arabian league champions Al Ittihad. The French striker has signed a contract until the year 2026 and there is talk of approximately 300 million euros over three seasons.

In his farewell to Real Madrid, Benzema expressed his desire to finish his career at the white club, but he also recognized that sometimes life offers you other opportunities. Al Ittihad announced the signing through its official Twitter account, posting a video of the French striker with the caption: “Benzema is here. A new tiger will roar. Welcome to the Ittihad.”
Benzema, 35, was enthusiastic about his new challenge in the Saudi league, mentioning that it is a good league with many talented players. In addition, he highlighted the presence of his friend Cristiano Ronaldo as a sign of the progress of soccer in Saudi Arabia. The Frenchman made it clear that his main goal is to win, just as he did during his successful spell in Europe.
During his time at Real Madrid, Benzema won a total of 25 titles, made 647 appearances and scored 353 goals, becoming the second top scorer in the club’s history.
