Blizzard Blue Warning: Heavy Snow Expected in Several Chinese Provinces

The China Weather Network has issued a blizzard blue warning for several areas in China, including Henan, Hubei, and Anhui. The warning is in effect from 08:00 on February 1st to 08:00 on February 2nd.

According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, heavy snowfall is expected in parts of southern Henan, northern Anhui, northern Hubei, and western Tibet. The snowfall in some of these areas may reach 10-12 mm, with new snow depths of 2 to 4 centimeters, and in some places, it may exceed 5 centimeters.

This warning has prompted the government and relevant departments to prepare for potential snow disasters and frost damage. Transportation, railway, electric power, communications, and other departments have been instructed to conduct inspections and maintenance of roads, railways, and lines, and to ensure road cleaning and snow melting.

Pedestrians are advised to take precautions against cold and slipping, while drivers are urged to drive carefully and take anti-slip measures. Agricultural and pastoral areas, as well as the planting and breeding industries, have been told to reserve feed and prepare for potential snow disasters and freezing damage. Additionally, temporary structures that are easily affected by snow, such as scaffoldings, are being reinforced.

The China Weather Network urges the public to stay updated on the weather through its official WeChat account, Weibo, and Douyin. Original content may not be reproduced without authorization.
