Budoni, all ready for a boom summer. The mayor: “It won’t be just the sea”

The holiday industry restarts with + 30% of visitors

Budoni That summer 2022 is a season of great numbers for the lower Gallura is now a certain and consolidated fact. And Budoni is certainly no exception with a season that, at the moment, marks a more than encouraging 30% more than the last pre Covid season. These are important numbers that mark the great return of foreign tourists and that bode well for the coming July and August, that is, the peak months of the holiday season.

«We are extremely satisfied – says the mayor of Budoni, Giuseppe Porcheddu – in recent years we have done an important job to make our territory attractive from a tourist point of view. Now it is a question of reaping the fruits of this work, considering it not a point of arrival, but a starting point for further improving our tourist offer ».

Sea, fun, relaxation can be read in the books and deepliants prepared by the municipal administration and disseminated throughout the country. Three words to arrive at a simple conclusion: vacation. “Tourism is the largest industry in Sardinia – adds the mayor of Budoni – and we, who are lucky enough to have unique natural beauties available, have the task of making this territory loved by offering tourists, as well as beaches and sea, quality services that make it even more attractive. Budoni lends itself to all types of tourism and the Municipality must work as a company capable of translating the needs that arise from tourist flows ».

For the current season, the municipal administration has prepared numerous innovations capable of welcoming and attracting tourists, combining natural resources with a series of initiatives suitable for any type of holiday. Concerts, shows, festivals, tradition and modernity, come together to make the tourist spend a holiday in an area to know and preserve, where tradition, culture, food and wine and the sea offer unforgettable moments.

«Not only sea is the motto that could be used for the summer in Budoni – confirms Giuseppe Porcheddu -. Ours is a project that was born 8 years ago and that is not yet completed, but is in constant evolution. It is necessary to understand the tourist-visitor trend in order to offer the best, as well as a proposal phase suitable to guide this path that we have undertaken and that we still want to continue. It was decided to create a system with private operators and this made it possible to work in unison thanks to the great availability of tourist and commercial operators in Budoni and the surrounding area ».

“Non solo mare” is a project that allows you to systematize the multiple experiences that Budoni can offer visitors to allow them to enjoy all the peculiarities of the area, while also discovering its secrets. “We want to give those who visit our area a holiday that is difficult to forget – concludes the mayor of Budoni – and our 18 kilometers of coastline, together with all the other wonders of the area, are ready to welcome”.
