After the fatal bus accident on Autobahn 9 near Leipzig, the public prosecutor’s office made allegations against the driver. A spokesman for the public prosecutor’s office said he was being investigated on suspicion of negligent homicide and negligent bodily harm. The spokesman could not say whether the man had already been questioned.
The double-decker FlixBus left the road on Wednesday morning, raced across the grass verge and tipped over on its side. 54 people were on board, including the two drivers. Four people were killed and numerous people were injured.
The cause of the accident is still unclear. According to FlixBus, the driver had adhered to the driving and rest times.
