Community leaders of the Curbaradó River, in the municipality of Carmen del Darién, reported that they received machinery worth 450 million pesos as collective repair, and that with it they are preparing to build three bridges on the Casa Bomba to Curbaradó road, even if provisionally with wooden beams.
They added that they will also carry out drainage to improve crops and open roads in several of the 24 communities in the Curbaradó River basin.
But they emphasize that they require support from the national government with more machinery to open more roads in the rural sector of Carmen del Darién and to maintain the existing ones, all with a view to improving mobility and being able to market their agricultural products.
