CASTELLAMONTE. The sixtieth edition of the Ceramics exhibition was inaugurated this afternoon, Saturday 21 August, in the shadow of the arch. The municipal administration, the curator Giuseppe Bertero and the local potters propose a series of events and exhibitions with the intention of combining the gaze to the future and the memory of past editions that will be open until 12 September and will have its focus in the return at the Rotonda Antonelliana. In the courtyard of the former elderly center, the works created by the artists’ association of ceramics in Castellamonte will be housed “, under the arcades of Palazzo Antonelli you will be able to admire a selection of stoves, the product that more than any other characterizes Castellamonte ceramic production and represents its excellence. The international competition “Ceramics in love-three” is also back, for which valuable works from Italy and all over the world have been selected, 120 artists and 25 different nations, which can be admired on the ground floor and in part also on the noble floor of Palazzo Botton. This last location will also host a tribute, 20 years after his death, by the Castellamontese ceramist Renzo Igne. On the second floor of the Martinetti congress center, an exhibition of «sound ceramics», the collection of terracotta whistles donated to the city by Clizia, the ceramist Mario Giani. On the first floor of the Martinetti, a tribute to Nicola Mileti, curator of the Ceramics exhibitions from 1981 to 2001. On the ground floor, an exhibition of jewels that enhance this use of ceramic art, promoted in collaboration with Cna. With the cultural association Ex-allievi Faccio, the rooms of the artistic high school will be set up in which it will be possible to see and creations of young talents who learn the techniques of ceramic processing on the school desks. In the days before holidays and holidays, a shuttle is provided for an inspection of the “castelletti”, from where the red clay of Castellamonte is obtained, this year enhanced by an exhibition of paintings, hosted in the premises of the Sant’Anna dei Boschi Society , made by the ceramist and painter Miro Gianola.
