The death of the esteemed Cuorgnatese doctor Roberto Colombo, found lifeless in the garden of his villa in Ceresole Reale, becomes a mystery. The property is currently under seizure, with seals on the door. Everyone initially thought of an illness, but the first to raise doubts about the initial reconstruction was the medical examiner of the ASL / To4 Stefano Ricciardelli. What didn’t completely convince him were those wounds on his head and hands.

On Saturday afternoon, then, the deputy prosecutor Alessandro Gallo, went personally to Ceresole, to coordinate the findings of the carabinieri. Operations went on until late at night. Currently on the magistrate’s desk there is an open file for “acts relating to the death of. .. “, therefore without the hypothesis of a crime or under investigation. The prosecutor, at the moment, is not unbalanced: the hypothesis of illness remains standing, but to establish the causes of death will only be the autopsy that will be carried out on Friday by Dr. Silvana Temi. Another element that made the investigators suspicious was the discovery of a belt, on the ground, in the garden, near the body (which did not have any in his pants).

It seems that the man, then, once he fell to the ground, he dragged himself for a few meters. Also noteworthy is the presence of a broken vase in the house.

The death of Roberto Colombo aroused deep condolences in Cuogné, the city where he lived. He was 66 years old and retired after serving at the city hospital. His family was originally from Ceresole Reale.

In Cuorgné Colombo he was a surgeon and was part of a close-knit and competent team with his brilliant and active colleagues Obialero, Personettaz, Peradotto, who still carried out delicate interventions in the hospital in Piazza Mussatti at the end of the nineties.

«I met Roberto Colombo at the time of the University, when we were both postgraduates at Molinette – his colleague and friend Roberto Rizzi remembers him with affection and emotion. We then met in Cuorgné at the end of the 1980s, Dr. Colombo dedicated himself full time to work in the hospital. Even now that he was retired, he represented a point of reference for the inhabitants of Ceresole Reale. He was struck down by an illness too prematurely in the place he loved most ».

The mayor of Cuorgné, Beppe Pezzetto, also expressed his esteem for Dr. Colombo. “I had the privilege of knowing him personally during my mandates as mayor – explained the first citizen of Cuorgnati -. A person willing to support those who need his advice, a doctor linked to their communities and their roots. A serious professional, a gentleman ».

Condolences to the family for the death of Dr. Roberto Colombo was also expressed by the municipal administration of Ceresole Reale.
