CERN, a thousand Russian scientists at risk of expulsion after the invasion of Ukraine.  The letter-appeal: “It was a mistake to drive them out”

Russia now risks being expelled from CERN. The European Organization for Nuclear Research will bring together representatives of the 23 member countries from 16 June to decide the future of scientific collaboration with Moscow.

About a thousand Russian scientists, half of whom reside at CERN, risk having to abandon the experiments. Part of the research activity could, if not become paralyzed, certainly be hampered.
