BELLUNO. Debut under the best auspices for the Nevegal chairlift, back to work after a summer, that of 2020, of stop. Yesterday, despite a not exactly summer weather and many clouds at high altitude, about thirty people bought the ticket to climb the ridges. A sign of the importance of the ski lifts also on the Nevegal hill.
The chairlift opened yesterday at 9 am. Once the maintenance and testing have been completed, for which Nevegal 2021 has spent another 20,000 euros (in addition to the 50,000 invested for the winter season), the seats are back to spin, complete with a mountain hook. bike.
And just yesterday there were many fat tire enthusiasts who bought the ticket to climb to the top. “Many have requested to use only the first section of the chairlift, and then go down with the mountain bike along the beaten paths”, explains the contact person of the infopoint in the square, Alessia Dall’O. In mid-July the track that the Municipality is building near the Coca should also be ready, and at that point fans can have fun on a path entirely dedicated to them.
OPERATIONAL INFOPOINT
The Dolomiti Prealpi Consortium reopened the infopoint in the square on Saturday. The call to assign the 2021 management is not yet defined, but the Consortium is carrying out its task. “In the morning we had a lot of people out of the ordinary in the office, and also from outside the province, for example from Vittorio Veneto”, continues Alessia Dall’O.
The requests for information are the classic ones: which paths to tackle for an excursion, which for a descent by mountain bike, where to eat, how to reach the giant bench, the new attraction of the hill (located near Casera Erte, it can be reached through the forest path to give an example).
At the end of the day, the office gave information to about fifty tourists. «A good movement» confesses Dall’O. Many, probably, were also attracted by the fair in the square: yesterday morning there was a discreet movement among the stalls, set up along the road that leads to the center of Le Torri.
The infopoint will observe the same times as the chairlift: it will therefore be open every Sunday in July from 9 to 17, every day in August.
CHAIRLIFT
Good first for the chairlift. By the end of the day, around thirty tickets had been detached, with many people venturing onto the ridges despite the clouds and cool weather. Someone just walked around, getting on and off in a matter of minutes. Just to re-experience the pleasure of using the plant.
Those who bought a winter ski pass last year will be able to take the chairlift for half the price.
MOWING POSTPONED
On the other hand, the day of mowing the paths of the hill organized by the Municipality with the volunteers was postponed. The weather conditions were not the best, and it was decided to move the activity to Saturday.
The appointment will always be at 7.30 at the Slalom bar, in the square, where you can have breakfast, the snack bags will be distributed and the work teams will be prepared, each of which will take care of a path. “We are sorry to have postponed, but we could not jeopardize the safety of the volunteers”, highlights the commissioner Biagio Giannone. At the end of the cleaning, around 13, there will be a spaghetti meal in the company.
