Jutta Müller’s daughter, Gabriele Seyfert, was touched that evening. In the SACHSENSPIEGEL interview she said: “I’m very happy that my mother is now once again receiving a late honor through this appointment of the hall with her name. I think she definitely deserves it and the people of Chemnitz will too greet.”
Afterwards, performances in pair skating, ice dancing and synchronized ice skating by athletes from Chemnitz, Dresden and Berlin, among others, could be experienced on the ice. In addition to the mayor of Chemnitz, Sven Schulze (SPD), Müller’s daughter and two-time Olympic champion Katarina Witt were also present. She gave the eulogy for Jutta Müller, who was Witt’s trainer for many years.
