Officials of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China announced at the meeting that Chen Yin was appointed as chairman of China Travel Service (Group) Co., Ltd., and he was removed from the position of deputy mayor of Shanghai; Wan Min was removed from the position of chairman of China Travel Service (Group) Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong.

According to public information, Chen Yin was born in September 1962, from Nanjing, Jiangsu. Previously served as Assistant Director of Shanghai Municipal Public Utilities Bureau, Deputy Director of Municipal Water Affairs Bureau, Deputy Secretary of Xuhui District Committee, Deputy District Mayor, and District Mayor, Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai Municipal Government, Secretary of the Party Group of the Administrative Committee of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Executive Deputy Director, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and other positions.

In May 2016, Chen Yin was promoted to the deputy mayor of Shanghai. He was Ai’s No. 1 Deputy. In November 2015, the deputy mayor Ai Baojun sacked. On April 28, 2017, Ai Baojun was sentenced to 17 years in prison for accepting bribes and embezzling more than 50 million yuan.
