Claudio Cupellini tells a scene from La terra dei figli (Video)

by admin

“The scene was shot on the banks of the Po and lives of two moments that are linked together by an ellipse”, explains Claudio Cupellini, director of The land of children. “As in the rest of the film, a feeling of mourning, after a pain that seems impossible to overcome, always follows an opposite reaction.”

The film, based on the graphic novel by Gipi, is set in a reality of loneliness and brutality, after a mysterious catastrophe has put an end to civilization. A father and son are among the few survivors and, on the death of the parent, the boy starts looking for someone who can reveal the meaning of the pages of his father’s diary. The land of children is in theaters since July 1 and was presented on June 28, out of competition, at the Taormina Festival, and is played by Valerio Mastandrea, Valeria Golino and the young Leon de la Vallée, known until now as a rapper with the stage name of Leon Faun.

Claudio Cupellini is an Italian director and screenwriter. The last two films he directed are Alaska (2015) e A quiet life (2010).
