Waiting for buyers, the structure continues to remain in business Restaurant, exclusive hotel, location for weddings: the announcement on Romolini

GIACOSA COLLERETTO. Still a charming hotel looking for a buyer in Canavese.

All the fault of the crisis of weddings and of the events that in the year and a half marked by the pandemic and the prohibitions, sent the management of historic manors, with high maintenance costs, into red.

After the castle of Pavone and that of Parella, this time it happens to Colleretto Giacosa, a small medieval center between the paths of Valchiusella.

For sale at 2 million and 750 thousand euros, there is the Villa Soleil hotel: 17 rooms in an 18th century stately home, surrounded by a large park built by the Giacosa family.

Meanwhile, the villa remains open for both the hotel and the restaurant.

Indeed in this period it records a surge of events between guests and ceremonies. Even the mayor of Colleretto Giacosa, Marco Ernesto, is well aware of this: «I myself will celebrate a marriage with a civil ceremony on August 22 – says Ernesto -. I also heard about the sale, but I guess they are confidential negotiations as it is a big investment. I don’t have detailed information about it, but for us Villa Soleil is a flagship that attracts many tourists, even from abroad. We have also always had excellent working relationships with the owners. We therefore hope that everything ends in the best way ».

Being a prestigious building commissioned by the important family of writers and scientists, the building has very high quality finishes, with moldings, coffered ceilings and paintings.

The old stable, visible just in front of the building, on the opposite side of the courtyard, has been converted into a residential unit and now houses five of the hotel’s rooms, as well as some warehouses and technical rooms.

Between the palace and the ancient stables there is the swimming pool for the use of the guests of the structure.

In the middle of the garden there is instead an orangery in transparent polycarbonate and metal that is used to host receptions (weddings and other events) thanks to a capacity of about 130 people.

Villa Soleil, located in via Cartiera, belonged to Piero Giacosa (1853-1928), brother of the famous librettist and scholar Giuseppe Giacosa.

Surgeon, scientific researcher, art lover and painter, Piero Giacosa inherited this property and used it as a summer residence to spend peaceful moments on vacation in the company of his wife Laura and their daughters.

The expansion and adaptation works of the eighteenth-century building into a stately villa began in 1895 and were directed by the friend and famous architect Alfredo D’Andrade, with whom Giuseppe Giacosa collaborated in 1884 for the construction of the medieval village in the Parco del Valentino in Turin.

Its splendor was reborn in the spring of 2006, the year in which long and peculiar restoration works were completed.

A unique and evocative environment, between coffered and vaulted ceilings, verandas, signs left by illustrious poets and centuries-old plants in the park, witnesses of a glorious past. Romolini real estate, a leader in the segment, is in charge of the salento of prestigious buildings in Italy and abroad. Lydia mass
