Coronavirus, in Italy 3,725 cases and 24 deaths, positivity rate of 0.9%

In Italy, 3,725 new cases of Covid-19 and 24 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours. This is the data provided by the health authorities. The positivity rate stands at 0.92 percent (compared to 0.8% yesterday and 0.64% a week ago). The number of cases marks an increase of 52.9% compared to 7 days ago while that of deaths is unchanged.

The pressure on the hospital system slightly increases: +18 the balance of admissions which are now 2,473 and +3 that of intensive care which are now 341. Daily admissions to resuscitation, according to data from the Ministry of Health, are 18 (yesterday 20) .

By way of comparison, on 24 October a year ago, 11,287 were hospitalized and 1,128 patients in intensive care.

The three regions with the most positive in the last 24 hours are Campania with 467, Lazio with 459 and Veneto with 398.

Lombardy

There are 393 new Covid positives recorded in Lombardy in the last 24 hours and 4 deaths, thus bringing the total number of victims since the beginning of the pandemic to 33,141. On the other hand, swabs carried out amounted to 94,483, with a swabs / positive ratio of 0.4%. Hospital admissions are stable: 48 are in intensive care and 276 are hospitalized with symptoms. There are 106 new Covid positives recorded in the last 24 hours in the province of Milan. As for the other provinces, there are 42 cases in Bergamo and Brescia, 64 in Varese, 20 in Monza, 33 in Como, 6 in Lodi, 17 in Mantua, 12 in Pavia, 9 in Cremona, 8 in Lecco and 2 in Sondrio.
