There are 6,902 Covid test positives identified in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday there were 6,599. Instead, there are 22 victims in one day (yesterday there were 24).
In Italy there are 108,535 currently positive at Covid, with an increase of 3,850 compared to yesterday. Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 4,390,684 cases, 128,209 deaths. The discharged and healed are instead 4,153,940, with an increase of 3,025 compared to yesterday.
The number of hospitalized patients is growing: 2,533 people are hospitalized and the number has grown by 84 compared to yesterday. In the intensive care units there are 288 patients, with 29 new entries compared to yesterday.

Valle d’Aosta
Valle d’Aosta records nine more positive people to Covid, compared to yesterday, but the number of hospitalized remains stable. This is what emerges from the daily Covid-19 bulletin of the Ministry of Health which indicates 117 current positive cases (they were 108 yesterday). Of these, 114 are in home isolation and 3 are hospitalized with symptoms. However, intensive care remains empty.
Piedmont
Today the Piedmont Region Crisis Unit communicated 170 new cases of people who tested positive for Covid-19 (of which 8 after antigenic tests), equal to 0.7% of 24,967 swabs performed, of which 20,709 antigenic. Of the 170 new infections, 82 are asymptomatic (48.2%). Deaths remain 11,701, as the number of deaths is unchanged from yesterday. There are 2,964 people in home isolation.
The total number of cases therefore becomes 371,255 divided as follows on a provincial basis: 30,195 Alessandria, 17,615 Asti, 11,642 Biella, 53,545 Cuneo, 28,851 Novara, 198,228 Turin, 13,894 Vercelli, 13,206 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 1,524 residents outside the region, but in charge of the Piedmontese health structures. The remaining 2,555 are under development and territorial assignment. There are 5 hospitalized in intensive care (+1 compared to yesterday), patients in the medical area amounted to 85 (+4 in the last 24 hours).
Lombardy
In the last 24 hours in Lombardy there have been 756 cases of Covid-19 and one death. The total number of deaths in the region, since the beginning of the epidemic, rises to 33,837. 47,650 swabs were processed, with a positive index of 2.2%. Covid ICU patients remain 35, while hospitalizations increase to 259 (+11). The discharged / healed are 394 (in total 810,770), while the currently positive 12,816 (+361).
Liguria
There are 143 new Covid-19 positives in Liguria, compared to 3179 molecular swabs and 5624 rapid antigen tests. There are 58 in Imperia, 12 in Savona, 35 in Genoa, 7 in Tigfullio, 27 in La Spezia, 4 are residents outside Liguria. The number of hospitalized patients increased by 4: 59, of which 15 in intensive care. There is one death, a 77-year-old man who died at the San Martino Hospital in Genoa.
Trentino
Curve of infections rising in Trentino. Today there are 44 new cases while the number of hospitalized patients rises to 18, six more than yesterday, of which one in intensive care. Among the new positive cases we also find 4 children between 6 and 10 years, 2 between 11-13 years and 5 between 14-19 years. Going up to the older age groups, there are 4 new cases in the 60-69 age range, 2 between 70-79 years and 3 of 80 and over. On the immunization campaign front, vaccinations reached 598,685 of which 256,006 second doses.
Veneto
There have been 682 new Coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours in Veneto, a figure which brings the total of positives to 441,102. The toll also counts one victim, bringing deaths to 11,647. Treviso is the province with the highest number of new infected, with 135 infections, followed by Verona, 132, Padua 129, Vicenza 103, Venice, 95, Rovigo, 53, Belluno, 21. There are 150 hospitalized in non-critical areas, 18 those in intensive care.
Friuli
In Friuli Venezia Giulia, today, 96 new infections have been detected on 6,307 molecular swabs with a positive percentage of 1.52%. There are also 1,284 rapid antigenic tests carried out, from which 15 cases (1.17%) were detected. From the analysis of the data available, it emerges that 50 percent of new infections concern people under the age of 29. Today there are no deaths; two people are hospitalized in intensive care (with a percentage of occupancy of the beds of 1.1), while the patients in other wards are 20 (occupancy of 1.6% of the beds). This was communicated by the deputy governor with responsibility for Health, Riccardo Riccardi. The deaths totaled 3,791, with the following territorial subdivision: 813 in Trieste, 2,013 in Udine, 672 in Pordenone and 293 in Gorizia. The totally healed are 103,885, the clinically healed 81, while those in isolation are 878.
Emilia Romagna
There are 685 new cases of coronavirus in Emilia-Romagna – average age 33 years – out of over 33 thousand swabs carried out in the last 24 hours. The number of hospitalized in Covid wards rises in the region with 17 more patients since yesterday (280 in total), while there are two other deaths, a 99-year-old and an 81-year-old from the province of Rimini. The number of intensive care units remained unchanged (22 patients).
Tuscany
For the fourth consecutive day in Tuscany, more than 700 new cases of contagion from covid-19 are recorded: today, in fact, as reported by the regional bulletin on the progress of the coronavirus epidemic, there are 714 more than yesterday, bringing the total of cases of positivity to 256,431. The healed grew by 0.1% and reached 239,392 (93.4% of total cases). Today 9,410 molecular swabs and 9,600 rapid antigenic swabs were performed, of which 3.8% were positive. On the other hand, 7,475 subjects were tested today (with antigenic and / or molecular swab, excluding control swabs), of which 9.6% were positive.
Walk
In the Marche, 221 positives were detected (incidence of 77.39 per 10,000 inhabitants), two fewer hospitalized (49) and zero deaths (the total remains 3,041) in the last 24 hours. This was communicated by the Health Service of the Region. Of the infections, 80 found in the province of Macerata, followed by Ancona (50), Fermo (43), Ascoli Piceno (18) and Pesaro Urbino (16); 12 cases from outside the region.
Umbria
A leap forward in Covid hospitalizations in Umbria: they are 25 according to the data of the Region updated to 7 August, six more than yesterday. The place occupied in intensive care remains unchanged. The new positive cases ascertained in the last 24 hours are 142, which emerged from the analysis of 8,109 tests (5,990 antigenic and 2,119 molecular swabs). With the overall positivity rate of 1.75 percent. Even today, as for about a month now, there are no victims. The healed are 74 and the currently positive rise to 1,986 (68 more than yesterday).
Lazio

Abruzzo
There are 83 new cases of Covid-19 ascertained in the last hours in Abruzzo. They emerged from the analysis of 2,170 molecular swabs: 3.82% of the samples were positive. The weekly incidence of infections per hundred thousand inhabitants is 43.1 (limit threshold 50). The number of hospitalizations is increasing, from 42 yesterday to 43 today. On a weekly basis, the variation in hospitalizations continues to be + 90%. The occupancy rate of the beds is 1% for intensive care and 3% for the medical area, compared to the yellow zone thresholds of 10 and 15% respectively. There are no deaths: the death toll stands at 2,515.
Campania
There are 610 new cases of Covid 19 in Campania in the last 24 hours. The molecular swabs performed were 8,008, while the antigenic ones 12,234. There are also two deaths recorded in the last 48 hours. Of the 656 ICU beds available, 14 are occupied, one more than yesterday; of the 3,160 hospital beds, including those for private individuals, 267 are occupied, 10 more than yesterday.
Basilicata
In Basilicata, 1,168 molecular swabs were processed yesterday for the search for contagion from Covid-19, of which 69 (and of these 60 related to residents in Basilicata) were positive. On the same day, 14 healings were recorded. This was announced by the regional task force. Also yesterday, 4,385 vaccinations were carried out. Currently 364,980 Lucanians have received the first dose of the vaccine (66.0 per cent) and 274,300 those who have also received the second dose (49.6 per cent) for a total of 639,280 out of 553,254 residents ( data portal Poste Italiane).
Puglia
Today in Puglia, 17,440 tests for Covid-19 infection and 360 positive cases have been recorded: 63 in the province of Bari, 45 in the province of Brindisi, 58 in the BAT province, 30 in the province of Foggia, 118 in the province of Lecce, 38 in the province of Taranto, 5 cases of residents outside the region, 3 cases of unknown province of residence. Calabria
There are 238 new Covid19 cases in Calabria recorded in the last 24 hours out of 3,373 swabs carried out. Double-digit positive cases in all five provinces with one death occurring in the Asp of Crotone. The total figures released by the regional bulletin also show 130 recovered for a total of 107 currently positive cases. Four patients remain in resuscitation, three in the region and one outside.
Sicily
A total of 776 out of 17,662 swabs processed are the new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the last 24 hours in Sicily, where the current positives rise to 13,411. The island is first in Italy for new daily infections. The data is contained in the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health, from which it emerges that in a single day the healed were 337 and the victims 7 (6,083 since the beginning of the health emergency). Of the current positives, 394 patients are hospitalized with symptoms, while 47 patients are in intensive care. This is the breakdown of the new cases on a provincial basis: 127 in Palermo, 197 in Catania, 35 in Messina, 59 in Ragusa, 76 in Trapani, 62 in Syracuse, 121 in Caltanissetta, 70 in Agrigento and 29 in Enna.
Sardinia
In Sardinia, there are currently 414 further confirmed cases of Covid-19 positivity, based on 3,378 people tested. There are 2 deaths: a 90-year-old man, residing in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, and a 59-year-old woman, residing in the province of Southern Sardinia. There are 20 hospitalized in intensive care units (one less than yesterday) while patients in the medical area amount to 108 (+14 in the last 24 hours). Cases of home isolation reach 6,451 (+268 compared to yesterday).
