The pressure on intensive care units in Italy continues to grow day by day. The national average percentage of occupancy of beds by Covid patients in resuscitation continues to rise, reaching 36%, well beyond the critical threshold set at 30% by the Ministry of Health, as certified by the latest data from the Agency for Services sanitary ware (Agenas), updated last night. In detail, there are 13 Regions and Autonomous Provinces that “exceed” the critical level, with percentages constantly rising for many: the worst situation is that of the Autonomous Province of Trento at 58%, followed by the Marche (57%) and the ‘Umbria (56%). And again, much above the threshold: Lombardy (54%), Emilia Romagna (50%), Molise (49%), Piedmont (48%), Friuli Venezia Giulia (44%), Abruzzo and Tuscany (40%). Then Puglia (34%), the Autonomous Province of Bolzano (33%) and Lazio (31%).
Emilia Romagna: 2,026 new positives and 52 deaths
Since the beginning of the Coronavirus epidemic, 306,324 positive cases have been recorded in Emilia-Romagna, 2,026 more than yesterday, out of a total of 37,456 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of swabs made since yesterday is 5.4%. Unfortunately, there are also 52 new deaths. Tuscany: 1,275 new cases and 21 deaths, hospitalizations are growing
In Tuscany there are 1,275 Covid-19 positives more than yesterday (1,221 confirmed with molecular swab and 54 from rapid antigen test). Since the beginning of the epidemic in Tuscany there are 176,610 cases of coronavirus positivity. New cases are 0.7% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grew by 0.9% and reached 146,712 (83.1% of total cases). Today, 16,398 molecular swabs and 8,540 rapid antigenic swabs were performed, of which 5.1% were positive. On the other hand, 10,379 subjects were tested today (with antigenic and / or molecular swab, excluding control swabs), of which 12.3% were positive. The currently positive are 24,907 today, + 0.05% compared to yesterday. The people hospitalized in the beds dedicated to Covid patients today are a total of 1,694 (25 more than yesterday, plus 1.5%), 241 in intensive care (2 more than yesterday, plus 0.8%). recorded 21 new deaths.
In Puglia 34 deaths and 1734 positive, 13.9% of the tests
On 12,471 tests for Covid-19 infection, 34 deaths and 1,734 positive cases were recorded, with a positive rate of 13.9% (yesterday 10.3%). The new infected are distributed as follows: 570 in the province of Bari, 136 in the province of Brindisi, 118 in the BAT province, 307 in the province of Foggia, 247 in the province of Lecce, 355 in the province of Taranto, 5 cases of residents outside the region. Four cases of unknown province of residence were reclassified and attributed. The 34 deaths are distributed as follows: 12 in the province of Bari, 2 in the province of Brindisi, 4 in the province of BAT, 7 in the province of Foggia, 6 in the province of Lecce, 3 in the province of Taranto. There are currently 39,818 positive cases.
In Friuli Venezia Giulia 986 new cases and 14 deaths
Today, in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 638 new infections have been detected on 9,867 molecular swabs with a positive percentage of 6.47%. Furthermore, 4,037 antigenic rapid tests have been carried out, from which 348 cases (8.62%) were detected. There are 14 registered deaths, plus one on 8 March; there are 76 hospitalizations in intensive care while those in other departments are 538. This was communicated by the deputy governor with responsibility for Health, Riccardo Riccardi. The total deaths amounted to 3,057. The totally healed are 67,482, the clinically healed 2,662, while those in isolation today are 14,388. Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 88,203 people have been positive.
