There are 32,573 new infections from Covid in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday there were 60,415. The victims are instead 119 (yesterday there were 93). There are 218,216 swabs (yesterday 370,466), between molecular and antigenic, processed in 24 hours which bring the positivity rate to 15% (yesterday 16.3%).
VALLE D’AOSTA
No deaths and 17 new positive cases at Covid in Valle D’Aosta which bring the total number of people infected by the virus in the region since the beginning of the epidemic to 31,974. The current positives are 1,166 of which 1,147 in home isolation and 19 hospitalized. The total number of people healed rises to 30,286, an increase of 35 compared to yesterday. The new cases tested are a total of 129,948 while the swabs carried out to date are 481,550. 522 people died in Valle d’Aosta from the beginning of the emergency to today with a diagnosis of Covid.
TRENTINO
There have been no new deaths from Covid in Trentino in the last 24 hours. The provincial health services company reports this, which reports 115 new positive cases, almost all asymptomatic or pauci-symptomatic: 9 cases were positive for molecular (out of 142 tests carried out) and 106 for antigenic (out of 1,425 tests carried out). The molecular then confirm 5 positivity intercepted in recent days by rapid tests. As for the hospital front, data is growing but under control: currently 41 patients are hospitalized (8 more than 24 hours earlier), of which 1 in resuscitation (stable data). Yesterday 9 new hospitalizations and 1 discharge were registered. Yesterday there were still 3 classes with suspension of face-to-face teaching. There are 151 new healed, for a total that has reached 140,276 since the beginning of the pandemic. The vaccinations administered reached 1,199,666, of which 426,321 second doses and 323,445 third doses.
SOUTH TYROL
There are 306 new cases of covid registered in the daily bulletin of the South Tyrolean Health Authority. In the last 24 hours there is a victim, it is a man in his seventies. The total number of deaths in South Tyrol since the beginning of the pandemic thus rises to 1,434. There are 6,225 people in quarantine or home isolation. 481 new healed were also reported.
PIEDMONT
Today the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region reported 2,315 new cases of people who tested positive for Covid-19, equal to 8.3% of 28,037 swabs performed, of which 25,854 antigenic. The total of positive cases becomes 1,025,733, divided as follows on a provincial basis: 86,936 Alessandria, 47,166 Asti, 39,493 Biella, 135,023 Cuneo, 77,470 Novara, 544,669 Turin, 36,532 Vercelli, 37,326 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, as well as 5,095 residents outside the region but in charge of the Piedmontese health structures. The remaining 16,023 are under development and territorial assignment. There are 23 hospitalized in intensive care (-1 compared to yesterday). Non-intensive care patients are 573 (-6 compared to yesterday). There are 48,142 people in home isolation. The diagnostic swabs processed so far are 16,233,039 (+28,037 compared to yesterday). There are 7, one today, the deaths of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reported by the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region (please note that the cumulative updated data communicated daily also includes deaths that occurred in the previous days). The total therefore becomes 13,161 deaths tested positive for the virus, divided as follows by province: 1,768 Alessandria, 787 Asti, 501 Biella, 1,598 Cuneo, 1,057 Novara, 6,285 Turin, 606 Vercelli, 424 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 135 residents outside the region but died in Piedmont. The healed patients total 963,834 (+2,147 compared to yesterday), divided as follows on a provincial basis: 80,876 Alessandria, 44,630 Asti, 37,597 Biella, 128,454 Cuneo, 74,047 Novara, 515,940 Turin, 34,244 Vercelli, 34,896 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, as well as to 3,927 extra-regions and 9,223 in the definition phase.
VENETO
Number of Covid infections halved in the last 24 hours in Veneto, + 1,938 (compared to 4,656 the previous day). However, this is the usual decline that is highlighted in the Monday bulletin, which discounts the lower tracking activity on the holiday. There are also 6 victims. The growth of the currently positives stops, which after a few days returns to the negative zone, 66,301 (-107). The pressure on hospitals is decreasing, where 716 (-12) patients are hospitalized in non-critical areas, and 57 (-2) in intensive care.
LOMBARDY
FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 323,265 people have been positive with the following territorial division: 70,358 in Trieste, 133,764 in Udine, 78,144 in Pordenone, 36,198 in Gorizia and 4,801 from outside the region.
LIGURIA
These are the new positives recorded in the last 24 hours in Liguria, compared to 4,181 swabs carried out, of which 1229 are molecular and 2952 are rapid antigenic. The detail of the new positives, referring to the residence of the person tested. In detail, the new cases registered in Imperia are 40, in Savona 147, in Genoa 313 and in La Spezia 95. There are 4 non-resident patients in Liguria.
EMILIA ROMAGNA
There are 2,318 new cases of Coronavirus positivity, identified in the last 24 hours based on 11,307 swabs, a lower number than usual, as happens at the weekend. There were also nine deaths, including a 59-year-old woman in the province of Reggio Emilia. There are 39,102 active cases, 97.5% of which in home isolation. There are 52 people in intensive care, one more than yesterday, while in the other Covid wards there are 914 patients (+34)
TUSCANY
Twenty-one – fourteen women and seven men with an average age of 84.5 years – are Covid positive people who have died in the last 24 hours in Tuscany, where the total number of victims of the epidemic rises to 9,345. The total cases of positivity are 933,576. The average age of 2,105 new positives today is approximately 39 years (25% are under 20, 22% between 20 and 39, 30% between 40 and 59, 15% between 60 and 79, 8% have 80 years or older). The currently positive are 43,061 today, + 0.8% compared to yesterday. The hospitalized are 769 (28 more than yesterday), of which 33 in intensive care (4 more).
UMBRIA
Covid hospitalized in Umbria are back above 200. In fact, there are 202, nine more, as of March 21st, while six places remain occupied in intensive care. On the last day, 764 new positives were recorded, 713 recovered and three deaths. The current positives are now 20,982, 48 more than on Sunday. 563 swabs and 3,391 antigen tests were analyzed, for a positivity rate of 19.3 percent up from 20.8 on Monday last week.
LAZIO
Today in Lazio out of 8,561 molecular swabs and 22,008 antigenic swabs for a total of 30,569 swabs, there are 4,405 new positive cases (-3,008), 14 deaths (+7), 1,069 hospitalized (+51), 76 intensive care (+1) and +6,190 the healed. The ratio of positives to swabs is 14.4%. The cases in Rome city are at an altitude of 2,269.
WALK
In the Marche region, the cumulative incidence rate continues to rise, reaching 1,162.71 per 100 thousand inhabitants (yesterday it was 1,152.79), compared to 1,055 new positives detected in the last 24 hours, equal to 46.2% of the 2,283 swabs analyzed. The province of Ancona totals 330 cases, that of Macerata 203, that of Ascoli Piceno 194, that of Pesaro Urbino 162, that of Fermo 124, as well as 42 cases from outside the region. The infection continues to circulate mostly in the age groups 25-44 years with 275 cases, and 45-59 years with 262, followed by 6-10 years with 106, and 60-69 years with 90 cases.
ABRUZZO
There are 832 (aged between 4 months and 97 years) the new positive cases of Covid registered today in Abruzzo. The death toll of patients recorded 4 new cases, 2 in the province of L’Aquila and 2 in the province of Teramo and rises to 3044. Two hundred and seventy-three patients (unchanged compared to yesterday) are hospitalized in the medical area; 13 (unchanged from yesterday) in intensive care. The positivity rate is 15.63 percent.
MOLISE
CAMPANIA
The incidence rate is stable in Campania. According to data from the Bulletin of the Region’s Crisis Unit, there are 3,500 out of 19,119 neo positives at Covid
tests examined (lower number than usual as on all weekends). the index stood at 18.30% compared to the previous 18.26%. Four deaths: one in the last 48 hours and 3 previously but recorded yesterday. In hospitals, ICU admissions drop to 34 (minus 3); decrease also in hospitalization with 599 beds occupied (less than 7 compared to yesterday).
BASILICATA
There are 521 new cases of contagion out of a total of 2,154 swabs and 2 deaths are recorded. Leap of hospitalized for Covid-19, in two days the number has risen to 108 (+13) of which 3 in intensive care: 63 in the Potenza hospital; 45 in that of Matera. Overall, the current positives residing in Basilicata are about 21 thousand.
PUGLIA
15% of the 20,004 tests processed in Puglia to ascertain coronavirus infection gave a positive result. These are 3,020 covid patients, most of which are registered in the province of Lecce, in which there are 1,065 more positivity than yesterday. Followed by the number of newly infected Bari with 846, Foggia with 310, Brindisi with 264, Bat with 261 and Taranto with 252. The currently positive are 104,084 of which 575 hospitalized in non-critical covid area (13 more than yesterday) and 26 in intensive care (one less than yesterday). There are 4 victims of the virus, thus bringing the total deaths from the beginning of the pandemic to today to 7,862.
CALABRIA
The people who tested positive at Covid, in Calabria, are 2,134 more than yesterday. This is what we read in the regional bulletin. In the same period, 4 deaths were recorded. There were 15 admissions to hospital wards, while 12 people remain in intensive care without further hospitalization in the last 24 hours.
SICILY
SARDINIA
In Sardinia there are 854 new confirmed cases of positivity to Covid. A total of 3,288 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic, according to the latest update of the Region, which reports six other deaths: a man of 77 and two women of 81 and 82 years, in the Oristano area; two women of 91 and 101 in Southern Sardinia, and another 78 years old, in the province of Sassari. There are 22 patients admitted to intensive care units, two more than yesterday, while those in the medical area are 332, ten more.
