VAL DI ZOLDO. A week after his disappearance, still no trace of Federico Lugato, the 39-year-old left home on Thursday 26 August for a four-hour walk to the Baita Angelini bivouac and never returned.
The searches continue at a fast pace with a consistent deployment of forces by the official rescuers (mountain rescue, fire brigade, financial police), private ones and volunteers.
Yesterday the sounding of the Green Power reservoir in Pramper by the divers of the fire brigade from Venice did not give any results. They have been check two tracks: one reported by a canine unit and one brought to attention by the triangulation of telephone cells.
In the meantime, some have also been verified sighting reports. A woman, in fact, in recent days had said that she had seen along a path a man who could look like Federico, but the track proved to be unfounded. To have contacted Elena Panciera, wife of the deceased, also four hikers who reached the Angelini hut on 26 August last. The four, residing in the province of Trento, called the woman stating that they had not seen anyone on their path that day.
But the family members do not give up and still launch an appeal to those who were in that area on August 26, so that they can say something important for research. «Federico», says his wife, «he wore a purple t-shirt, blue sweatshirt, shorts, a smooth black laptop backpack, and walked with two black and yellow Nordic walking poles. I think it is important to restore these elements », explains Elena who, together with the many friends who are close to her, is traveling all the ways to find her husband.
