The Attorney General’s Office has filed disciplinary charges against Diego Fernando Quimbaya Rengifo, Labor Inspector of the Territorial Directorate of Huilafor alleged workplace harassment against one of her colleagues in the Ministry.

The complainant has stated that she has been a victim of continued conduct since 2020., which have caused psychological damage, anxiety, depression and nervousness. The Attorney General’s Office indicates that Quimbaya Rengifo would have committed persistent acts of gender violence, with the aim of instilling fear and intimidation to the official, especially after she ended her romantic relationship with him.

According to the complainant, after ending their relationship, she held a position in which she became the direct boss of the person under investigation.. This situation apparently triggered acts of hostility on the part of Quimbaya Rengifo in work meetings, as well as the disclosure of personal situations that generated an uncomfortable and disturbing work environment.

In addition, it has been reported that Quimbaya Rengifo tried to have contact with the daughter of the affected person, using the identity of her own son.. These events led the victim to require psychiatric treatment and medication due to the harassment and psychological violence experienced.

Likewise, it is noted that Quimbaya Rengifo made anonymous accusations about the victim’s work performance, but he later retracted his statements and even identified himself as a sexual harasser, requesting to be investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office.

The Attorney General’s Office has provisionally classified Quimbaya Rengifo’s actions as very serious as a result of fraud., evidencing hostile acts that could constitute workplace harassment. The disciplinary process will continue its course in accordance with the provisions of the law.
