Through their social networks, Alba Luz Luque, president of the AVIVA Foundationdenounced the state of some streets in the Historic Center of Valledupar.

In images published on his X account, we can see cars and motorcycles parked outside the El Rosario church on Carrera 7 and human excrement on the terraces of the homes located in the sector, near Plaza Alfonso López.
“Today I am ashamed, indignant, sorry for Valledupar. Is your Historic Center no man’s land? Motorcycles, cars in public pedestrian spaces travel and park, street dwellers convert old gates into toilets, outdoors, pedestrian paths are used in reverse. SOS!“wrote Alba Luz Luque.

The complainant stated that people prefer to park their vehicles on the platforms rather than in the municipal parking lots that are in the Historic Center, hindering the passage of pedestrians.
“The sector has parking lots. They park on the platforms, two meters from the municipal parking lot and another in front. @DiocesisVUP and we, pedestrians, where do we travel? Do vehicles have priority? And what about pedestrians, getting run over by motorcycles and cars? Civility please”he added.

Luque’s complaint was joined by other citizens who asked the Valledupar Mayor’s Office to intervene to solve this problem that affects the development of tourism in the city.
