In Lübeck, farmers want to demonstrate again on Tuesday against the traffic light government’s policies. It is also planned to watch Federal Finance Minister Lindner. He’s on a flying visit to the Hanseatic city.
Almost 500 vehicles and tractors will set off on a rally in Lübeck on Tuesday. The Hanseatic city announces this. They come from Lauenburg and the Ostholstein district, among others. As part of his citizen dialogue tour, Federal Finance Minister Christian Lindner (FDP) will be there and speak to selected guests. Although the farmers are not registered there, they still want to meet Linder and present their criticism in person. It is unclear whether they can also take part in the citizen dialogue itself.
Four columns towards the Hanseatic city
A total of four rallyes with 120 vehicles each were registered with the assembly authority of the city of Lübeck. The first column will start at 11 a.m. in Ahrensburg (Stormarn district) and will use the B75. 120 more tractors set off for Lübeck from Ratekau-Techau (Ostholstein district) at 12 p.m. The route runs via Bad Schwartau. The third column starts at 12.30 p.m. in Ahrensbök (Ostholstein district) and travels along the L184. The fourth column departs at 1 p.m. The tractors meet in the Kronsforde district of Lübeck and drive from there to the city center.
The destination of the first two columns is the Rodenkoppel (private area). The columns from Ahrensbök and Kronsforde drive to the parking lot of the Music and Congress Hall (MuK). The participants park their vehicles there and go to the media docks, where a rally will take place from 2 p.m. After the end of the event, at around 5 p.m., the participants make their way back.
Lindner’s dialogue tour – registration required
According to the Federal Ministry of Finance, Minister Lindner’s dialogue tour is explicitly intended to meet, among other things, farmers and craftsmen. “You are warmly invited to ask questions, give suggestions and share your personal experiences,” the ministry’s website says. However, registration is “absolutely” necessary – free places will be allocated at random. It is therefore uncertain whether the protesting farmers will be able to enter into dialogue with Lindner.
The event will take place from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Hafenschuppen 6, An der Untertrave 47a.
