The man was taken to the hospital
RIVAROLO CANAVESE
The accident that occurred around 6 pm yesterday, Sunday, in the center of Rivarolo could have had dramatic consequences. A man (it will be known later to be a Canavese trader), while he was crossing the pedestrian crossing that connects the ally of Corso Torino to Viale Berone, just near the roundabout, was hit by a Ford Focus, driven by a young man.
The dynamics are investigated, the fact is that the pedestrian, who would have recently left the house for a walk, hit by the vehicle, fell to the ground, hitting violently on the asphalt. The Focus driver stopped the car from which he quickly got out to provide first aid.
Thanks to the timetable, the public holiday and the events scheduled in Rivarolo, a small crowd immediately gathered on the spot. The fear was that the man on the ground was in very serious condition. The trader was rescued by 118 staff, stabilized and transported to the emergency room of the Ivrea hospital for the necessary treatment. His condition, fortunately, would not be serious. As mentioned, the dynamics of the accident are being examined by the Rivarolo carabinieri.
To allow the Red Cross health workers, the men of the Arma and the agents of the municipal police to guarantee the rescue operations in complete safety, the section of Viale Berone concerned was temporarily closed to traffic. –
