Fines arrive for those who do not accept payments of any amount by debit or credit cards. An amendment to the Recovery bill being examined by the Chamber’s Budget Commission, reformulated by the speakers based on the proposals of Stefano Fassina (Leu) and Rebecca Frassini (Lega), provides for a penalty of at least 30 euros – increased by 4% of the value of the transaction for which the acceptance of payment has been refused – for all subjects who carry out the activity of selling products and providing services, including professional ones, and who will not accept electronic payments.
Norma exit from the fiscal link
The same rule had been included in the tax decree linked to the 2020 maneuver but had been removed during the parliamentary procedure of the provision. The amendment specifies that the obligation to accept payment cards is fulfilled with reference to at least one type of debit card and at least one type of credit card, identified by the trademark of the circuit to which it belongs.
