Fire alarm causes alarm in El Paso restaurant

The El Paso Fire Department (EPFD) swiftly responded to a small fire at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant in East El Paso on Sunday afternoon. Dispatch received the call shortly after 3:15 p.m., prompting the dispatch of six fire units to the scene located near Gateway West and Yarbrough.

The fire, which was contained to the kitchen area, has since been extinguished by the responding fire crews. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident, although the restaurant had to be evacuated as a precaution.

Customers and staff were safely ushered out of the establishment while firefighters worked to tackle the blaze. An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.

The Texas Roadhouse restaurant is expected to reopen once officials deem it safe for patrons to return. The EPFD has reminded residents to always exercise caution in the kitchen to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
