Fire brigade operation: Cracks on the facade of the Schöneberger residential building: danger of collapse

Large cracks have appeared on the facade of a residential building in Berlin-Schöneberg. The building, which stands on private property on Grunewaldstrasse, is in danger of collapsing, as the Berlin fire department announced on Wednesday evening. The firefighters did not have to rescue people, but they did carry out an exploration.

The emergency services examined whether walkers on sidewalks could be at risk, for example from falling objects. That was not the case, they said. According to the fire department, the owner and the district office are now taking care of the next steps.
